Prayer by Minister Joe Wright
at Senate Session !

"Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to
seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, "Woe to those
who call evil good", but that is exactly what we have done.

We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We confess
that we have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and called it
Pluralism. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery, we have
rewarded laziness and called it welfare, we have killed our unborn and
called it choice, we have shot abortionists and called it justifiable, we
have neglected to discipline our children and called it building
self-esteem, we have abused power and called it politics, we have coveted
our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air
with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression, we have
ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it
enlightenment.

Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and
set us free.

Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent to direct us to the
center of Your will and to openly ask these things in the name of Your Son,
the living Savior, Jesus Christ.

Amen!"

Our Forefathers !

According to this country's history,Our forefathers had no problem with reflecting their faith in God and may be the reason for that was there were not other religions in the country as there is today.They were simply Christians with a deep personal faith in God.
I certainly would not imply that they were perfect or without sins due to the fact if they were perfect they could not be christians.Jesus did not come into this world to save the righteous (There are none righteous,no not one Rom.3:10) Jesus came to seek and save that which was lost. I believe our forefathers wanted to influence others to consider Christianity but would not cram Jesus down anyones throat.(The throat is not the way to the heart of a person), The way to the heart of mankind is through the mind. (Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God Rom.10:17)
This country has welcomed many peoples with many different religious views and I would say there has been a spiritual battle for the souls of Americans going on for many years. Jeus said; I am "THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE AN NO MAN COME TO THE FATHER BUT BY ME".
As you can probably tell,this is what I believe !

Government and Religion !

As under the Reagan administration,I believe it is the basic belief that if you give the government and corporate america the where with all, that they will do the right thing,and if the heart of politicians and the corporate world was right with God (God is Love) this country would be better than most americans could ever dream.But until that happens
it will more than likely be the "same ole-same ole" or get much worse with divisions unimagineable which will make the USA helpless when the showdown (Armmegeddon) takes place.
Which will usher in the second comming of Christ
to intervene lest mankind totally destroy themselves.
